WHAT WE BELIEVE

God

There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Jesus

Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin. He is fully God and fully man.

Man  and  Salvation

We believe that man was created in the image of God, and that man chose to sin and rebel against God. This brought sin to the entire human race. Every person sins and incurs spiritual death, which is separation from God.

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as our representative and as a sacrifice for our sins, and that all who receive him are made right with God. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, and his ascension to heaven.

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to earth, the dead will be raised, and Christ will judge all people.
We believe in an eternal heaven and hell.

The  Bible

We believe that the Bible was written by people inspired by God and is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to Man. The Bible has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. The Bible is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

Church

We believe that a New Testament church is a group of baptized believers in a covenant commitment to one another, organized for worship, service, and the spread of the Gospel.

Baptism and the Lord's supper

Baptism is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. Baptism is also a public sign of a believer’s intent on joining the church.

The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby followers of Christ through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.

We believe that it is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church to endeavor to make disciples of all nations through evangelism and missions.
